The Sunshine House was the first dollhouse I made way back in 1985. But after almost 20 years I decided it was time for a change. I'd grown tired of "cutesy" Victorian minis so inspired by Sherise Landrey's Shadow Row House as well as Deb Weissler's Witch Cottage and Margene Crossan's creations (all found in the Sept/Oct 2003 issue of the American Miniaturist magazine) I thought I would change the Sunshine House into a not so cutesy Gothic house. Darkside Manor
The making of Darkside Manor was almost complete but when it came time to furnish the inside and do the outside landscaping I found a lack of good quality, affordable miniatures suitable for a haunted Gothic mansion. I decided the only way to solve this problem was to make my own. Then I decided to share my creations (and make a little extra money to feed my miniature "habit") by opening an EBay store. With all of the changes in EBay over the years including increased fees I've decided to try selling directly from my web site. Less fees paid by me equals lower prices for you!
